Crop, fit and compress

Image processing happens entirely in your browser. Maximum source size: 15 MB. Very large images can consume significant memory.

PNG exports ignore the quality control. JPEG uses white padding; PNG and WebP can keep transparent letterbox padding. Centred cropping is not face-aware.

Crop and compress social or advertising artwork

Different display and social placements need different aspect ratios. The preset dimensions are practical starting points—not official platform specifications or guaranteed acceptance. Confirm current creative rules with the target platform before publishing.

Fill scales until the canvas is covered and centre-crops the excess, without distorting the source. Fit displays the whole image with padding. JPEG has no alpha transparency, so padding is white; PNG and WebP support transparency. Canvas exports can vary by browser and sometimes produce larger files than the original.

For changing image dimensions without cropping, use the image resizer. For presentation and safe-area advice, see the campaign creative guide.

Frequently asked questions

Are my images uploaded to a server?

No. Decoding and export run on your device in the browser; image contents are not sent with analytics events.

Why can output be bigger?

Image complexity, format, dimensions and quality affect file size. PNG uses lossless compression.
